NNGA & Nevada State

Points are awarded for top 15 place finishes in both NNGA and Nevada State events. Points are awarded in the division played only. (see points tables for special situations)

Team events will be awarded the same points as Non Team Events divided by the number of players on the team.

NEW FOR 2012
Nevada State and Northern Nevada Net Championship players will be awarded points for 9th to 15th place finishes.

Events that are rescheduled from 2 days to 1 day will receive ½ points.

Events that are weather shortened will receive full points.

Events with less than 10 players in the division will be awarded ½ points

Net Competitions & Championships

Below is a listing of competitions and championships that are used to determine the highest number of points during the specified time period for net players:

Nevada State Net Amateur Championship

There is a total of thirty (30) player spots from each association available. Top 8 finishers (match play qualifiers) will have priority until deadline. Each association (30) spots will be reduced by the number of players in the top 8 from that association. There is no point list for this event. Players will sign up either online or by paper entry with the hosting association. All player spots for each association will be entered using postmark or received date in the case of electronic entry. A list of the players will be posted prior to deadline to help players note the numbers of spots remaining. This event is replacing the Nevada State Am Net and the Nevada State Net Match Play events.

Haase-Whalen Cup Matches

Total of twelve (12) players qualify each year. Each player must play in at least three events to qualify. Points are listed on the website. The top 10 from the Net Division points plus the Senior Blue Net Player of the Year and the Top Scratch Silver player qualify. Please see the website tournament schedule for exact dates and points cutoff.

Cobb-Whalen Cup Matches

Total of twelve (12) net players qualify. Each player must play in at least three events to qualify. Points are listed on the website. This is an all net event starting in 2012. Please see the website tournament schedule for exact dates of point’s cutoff.

Player of the Year

The top point earner for the Net division is awarded Player of the Year. POY points are listed on the website. Please see the website tournament schedule for exact dates of point's cutoff.
