NNGA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A VOLUNTEER
FOR NORTHERN NEVADA GOLF ASSOCIATION?

NNGA volunteers are an organization of individuals who are the backbone of the Northern Nevada Golf Association.  Members of this select group serve in many capacities in the administration of the NNGA’s activities.

The successful administration of our NNGA Tournaments, Nevada State Championships and USGA Qualifiers is enhanced by the contributions of the volunteers, who serve as starters, scorers, rules officials, and observers. With an expanded schedule, especially in junior golf, the NNGA will require even more volunteers in the years ahead.

The Course Rating and Handicap Committee of the NNGA also utilizes volunteers to serve on its course rating teams.  Each candidate receives training in the complexities of slope and course ratings. The volunteers are then placed on rating teams with an experienced captain. These teams are involved in re-rating all clubs in the NNGA and are conducting initial ratings for new clubs requesting the service.

The NNGA is indebted to its volunteers for the many services they perform and the time they devote to improving the quality of golf in the Northern Nevada area.
