Women's Center

Spring is in the AIR!
You are probably dusting off your golf clubs and getting to the driving range to tune up your game!  NNGA - Women's has a few spaces in our Spring Swing Clinic at Sierra Sage on May 14th.  (Sorry, the Genoa Lakes Swing Clinic is SOLD OUT).

The two Psychology of Golf clinics in early April are SOLD OUT at this time as well.

Rules Clinics - Please remember, there are No changes to the Rules of Golf in 2018.  These clinics are the current Rules of Golf and you can not attempt to implement potential changes this year to any of the Rules of Golf.
All dates and flyers are available on the NNWGA.org website at the bottom of the first page.
Rules 101 is the Introduction to the building blocks of the Rules of Golf.  If you are new to the Rules of Golf, this is the first class for you to attend.
Rules 201 is for the individual who has basic knowledge and wants to take it to the course and see demonstrations of the application of the Rules of a variety of situations.
Rules of Match Play - with HSTP hoping to go to a Match Play format and our Sharon Schultze Team Match Play, this class will venture into how to navigate the differences between stroke play and match play in the Rules of Golf book.

Golf Tournaments 2018
The standing rules for our tournaments have been updated an placed on the NNWGA.org website for easy access and viewing.  We are working on the Marketing cover sheets with the specific details of each event, and how to sign up ONLINE this year!  (I know... more changes!)

Some noteable updates to the Standing Rules are:

Hat Cutler Partners:  This event is so much fun!  Ask your friend whom you'd love to play in a event with, max handicap of 36 and play golf!  The better gross and net score is recorded for each hole.  100% of handicap for the competition course!  No limit between partners handicaps!  This will sell out, so save the date, June 4-5 at Silver Oak and plan for it!

Sharon Schultze Team Match Play: June 29th at Somersett!  Limited to a field of 20 teams.  No changes to the guidelines from past years.  Details as to the ability for a club to submit multiple teams will be coming out soon, BUT how fun would it be to have one team for each of the 20 clubs surrounding the Reno area!  Let's try for that!  We would love to have a team from outside the area too, but we understand the distance.

NN Women's Amateur:  August 12 -13, Red Hawk Lakes  No major changes, just clarifications to pairings, playoffs, etc.

Shamble:  September 10, Carson Valley
You asked, and we made the change!  This event use to be the 22+ handicap is now OPEN to all handicaps!  Your partner must be in the same flight as you is the only guideline you need to pay attention to.  The goal is 4 flights, 1-15, 16-25, 26-36 and 37-50!

Winnemucca Weekend Away:  We are still working on the name for this new event!  September 22 and 23,  60 ladies in total (30 teams of 2) will be going to Winnemucca to play in a two day event!  Playing Four-Ball on day 1, and Foursomes on day 2, you and your partner is sure to have a blast at this event! Check out the Standing Rules for consideration:   Standing Rules

6-Woman Event:  September 22 and 23Saturday and Sunday!
Another new event!  Details are fourth coming.  If Winnemucca is not on your radar, perhaps you will consider this event at Toiyabe!

STATE QUAD:  July 29 - 30, Nakoma
Jeannie Cassinelli our State Tournament chair is back at it putting together a memorable event to get away to the pines of beautiful Nakoma!  Save the date and make your housing reservations now as the limited field of 100 ladies, which is only 25 teams!  Marketing Flyer for QUAD
